Our Experts
Premix and feed formulations are overseen by our two qualified Nutritionists, who have extensive knowledge and experience servicing the Animal Feed Industry in New Zealand.
Jenny Anderson - B.Ag.Sc.
Jenny has had 24 years experience in the animal nutrition industry. On completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Massey University, Jenny was employed by a large feed milling operation PCL Feeds Ltd. During this time she managed feed formulations for the feed mill and also provided technical service to home mixing and milling clients
For the past 10 years Jenny has been employed by Image Holdings Limited to provide a comprehensive technical service for all customers including those involved in University research projects and aquaculture research.
Predominant areas of work include Pig, Poultry, Ruminant, Equine and Companion Animal nutrition
Jenny has considerable experience in formulation of feeds for Pig, Broiler and Layer clients for our export markets and travels throughout the south Pacific in support of this business.
Steve Johnston - Massey Grad.; B.Agri.Sci, and Post Grad. Dip.Sci.(Nutrition)
Steve has over 35 years experience in the livestock and animal nutrition industry. After Graduating from Massey University he worked assisting producers for the NZ Pork Industry Board for several years as a pig production consultant. He later travelled extensively overseas for 3 years and worked in the UK Pig industry .
On returning to NZ he worked for a major pig operation before joining the country’s largest stock feed manufacturer as a multispecies nutritionist with specialist skills in pigs and poultry. During over 23 years spent with a major national integrated broiler and feed milling company in various management, senior technical and nutritional roles, he setup premix and animal health businesses, a world class trial facility and consulted to overseas poultry operations.
He now lives in Christchurch where he joined Image Holdings Limited to assist build, and manage the new South Island Premix Factory and provide nutritional support for R&D and our major customers.
